Skin Treatments

Skin Treatments

We use the most advanced and effective cosmetic technology and aesthetic skin therapies to rejuvenate, restore, and clear away imperfections to leave you with flawless, younger-looking skin.

Skin treatments range from a lunchtime Beauty Booster, a 30-minute treatment to restore your healthy youthful glow, to more intensive Medical-Grade Peels, a deep exfoliation of the skin to achieve a smoother and younger-looking complexion. Some treatments require zero downtime, while others produce more noticeable results and may require that you take it easy for a few days post-procedure.

All our cosmetic skin treatments are clinically proven, effective, and performed by trained professionals. We only use the best available treatments and products.

During your free consultation at b clinic, your practitioner will identify the cause of your skin concerns and create a personalised treatment plan to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. You may require a single session or a combination of treatments to address your concerns and achieve healthier, smoother, and younger-looking skin.

Anti-Wrinkle

Anti-Wrinkle

Wrinkle treatments are used to relax the muscles that cause facial wrinkles. These treatments can successfully smooth wrinkles and prevent lines from worsening over time. Over time, repeated muscle movements cause deep facial folds to form. By relaxing these muscles, wrinkle treatments may help you achieve a more rejuvenated appearance.

Suitable to treat: crow’s feet, frown lines, horizontal lines, gummy smile, chin dimpling, jaw slimming,/teeth clenching, bunny scrunch, lip flip and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

The cost starts at $110. Click here to view our full list of treatments and prices.

Minimum 46-60 units per area. No additional cost if a top-up is required on review. *See T&Cs for full details.

Your b clinic practitioner will provide a free treatment plan with estimated costs at your initial consultation. Schedule a free consultation today!

As your skin ages, it loses elasticity due to a drop in the production of collagen and elastin proteins. Your skin doesn’t bounce back into place like it once did. This lack of springiness is what causes fine lines and wrinkles to appear.

In the areas where facial muscles move and contract to form expressions, folds and lines in the skin can make you look older than you are. Static lines can even change your facial expression to make you look sad or angry.

Wrinkle treatments relax the muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles, helping you refresh your appearance.

Smooth Away Fine Lines and Wrinkles

This treatment can improve the appearance of dynamic lines and temporarily soften wrinkles. The procedure is effective for existing skin concerns but can also soften and prevent lines and wrinkles from forming. For clients in their late 20s and early 30s, wrinkle treatments can effectively prevent anti-ageing treatment.

Look Younger and Fresher

Frown lines, crow’s feet, and other expression lines caused by repetitive muscle contraction can become etched into the skin over time and remain visible even when you have a resting facial expression. These static wrinkles and lines can add years to your appearance and make you look tired, even if you’re well-rested. Wrinkle treatments soften these folds in the skin, may help you appear more youthful and fresher.

No Downtime

Treatments can be performed in-clinic in less than an hour. There’s little to no downtime, unlike more invasive surgical cosmetic procedures. You can return to work and your regular daily routine immediately after your appointment at b clinic.

Who Is Suitable For This Treatment?

This cosmetic procedure is a preferable option for people who want to improve the appearance of wrinkles and achieve a more youthful appearance. The treatment can also benefit clients who want to prevent future visible wrinkles and lines from forming.

Treatment outcomes are natural-looking and subtle compared to the more dramatic results of surgical procedures. Your skin will appear fresher and smoother, but your friends and colleagues will be unable to notice any tell-tale signs of treatment.

If your skin displays more severe, static wrinkles, your clinician may recommend wrinkle injections in combination with line reduction treatments. While wrinkle treatments can smooth the skin and eliminate wrinkles, contouring and volumising treatments can restore lost volume and stimulate collagen production to lift and rejuvenate the skin. This is most beneficial for areas like smile lines, vertical lip lines, and crow’s feet.

The best way to determine which treatment is right for you is to schedule a free consultation with one of our experienced b clinic doctors.

 How does this treatment work?

Wrinkle treatments help you achieve firmer, smoother, and younger-looking skin by targeting the overactive muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles. The product weakens the signal to the muscle that tells it to contract.

This treatment, softens the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Within a few days of your treatment, you’ll look younger and fresher, with smoother skin.

Results typically last up to 3-4 months. With regular anti-ageing treatments, the treated facial muscle will become less active and smaller, and the effects should last longer between treatments.

Which Areas Can Be Treated?

The most popular treatment areas are crow’s feet, frown lines, and horizontal forehead wrinkles. You can also treat bunny lines on the nose, wrinkles forming around the mouth and lips, neck Platysma bands, and to achieve facial slimming. Our experienced practitioners can also slim the jawline, reduce teeth grinding, and treat excessive sweating.

Most clients do not experience any pain during an wrinkle treatment. You may experience a slight pinching sensation as the injection is applied, but this discomfort is similar to the feeling of a pinprick. The injection procedure only lasts for a few moments, and the minimal discomfort is short-lived.

A topical anaesthetic may be applied before treatment if you have very high pain sensitivity.

Do I Need to Do Anything to Prepare?

You should not engage in any strenuous physical activity and avoid drinking alcohol for 24 hours before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising. It’s also recommended that you stop taking aspirin and vitamin E one week before the procedure to minimise the chances of bruising and skin trauma around the injection site.

What Should I Expect After the Treatment?

There is no downtime required after a wrinkle treatment. You can return to work and continue your normal daily activities after leaving the clinic. You will notice an improvement to your wrinkles after 3 days, with your smoother skin and fresher appearance lasting up to four months post-treatment.

Immediately after the procedure, you should avoid touching or applying pressure to the treated area. Any redness or bruising can be concealed with makeup and should subside within 48 hours.

How Long Do Wrinkle Treatments Last?

The longevity of results depends on the area being treated and the number of units injected. For most clients, results last around four months. Some people will experience longer effects than others.

After this time, the muscle will become more active, and your skin will return to its pre-treatment condition. Many clients return to the clinic for regular follow-up treatments to maintain their results. It’s important to leave a gap of at least 12 weeks between treatments to ensure that results are long-lasting and sustainable.

How Many Wrinkle Treatments Will I Need?

Wrinkle injections last for three to four months before a maintenance treatment is required. After this time, the muscle will become active, and lines and wrinkles will begin to reappear. We recommend booking a follow-up treatment every 3 to 6 months to maintain your younger-looking appearance.

After several treatments, the wrinkle treatments will help to weaken the overactive muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles. Contractions and muscle movement will be less severe, and you will require fewer product units to achieve the same results.

Many clients can benefit from combining treatments. While the wrinkle treatments target the overactive muscle, they do not restore lost volume to the area.

If you have severe lines or deep wrinkles, dermal fillers can be an effective way to restore volume lost due to skin ageing. The filler product can boost collagen production, “fill in” hollowed features and can give you a smoother, more youthful looking skin.

During your free consultation at b clinic, your doctor will evaluate your skin concerns and recommend a treatment plan that helps you achieve your aesthetic goals and get a softer and brighter appearance.

Wrinkle treatments target the muscle contractions beneath the skin that cause frown lines, crow’s feet, and other visible signs of ageing. A muscle relaxant injection reduces the severity of the muscle contraction to smooth out the skin. Over time, repeated muscle contractions fold the skin and cause wrinkles and lines to appear.

Contour and volumising treatments are used to restore volume to areas of the face where ageing has caused hollows and the skin has started to sag and droop. As the body ages, reduced bone density and a drop in the production of collagen and elastin cause the skin to drop down the face. This results in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and hollows.

By restoring lost volume to these areas to plump the skin can make it appear smoother, firmer, and more youthful. Contouring and volumising treatments can effectively treat the lips, tear troughs, brows, chin, and other areas of the face that show a loss of volume.

Read Dr Frank’s expert guide to learn more about cosmetic injectables and the difference between treatments.

Can I Get Wrinkle Treatments While Pregnant?

No. While there is no clinical evidence that these treatments are unsafe during pregnancy, client safety is our top priority. It is not advisable to receive theses treatments or other injectable cosmetic treatments during pregnancy.

Which Products Do You Use?

We always use the highest-quality wrinkle, contouring and volumising products, but we are unable to disclose the products we use due to Australian advertising laws. The products are prescription medications. Your practitioner can discuss the brands used during your free initial consultation.

Will I Still Be Able to Make Expressions?

Some clients prefer subtle movement and natural-looking results, while others request no movement. Our highly-trained practitioners will tailor the treatment for ‘you’.

We take time to understand your unique needs and desired outcomes. During your free consultation, you’ll receive a personalised treatment plan that’s right for your lifestyle and budget and realises the results you want to achieve.

How Many Units Will I Need?

Our highly skilled cosmetic nurses and doctors will determine the correct dosage at your initial consultation. We base the dosage on your aesthetic goals and an assessment of your skin. We also provide a complimentary top-up if required during your post-treatment consultation.

Possible Risks and Complications

When performed by a trained and experienced clinician, the side effects of wrinkle treatments are minimal. As with any injections, you may experience tenderness and mild bruising around the injection site.

Rare side effects can include temporary drooping of the eyelids, dry eyes, and blurred vision. These side effects are extremely rare and are usually the result of too much product being used by an inexperienced practitioner.

It’s important to discuss your medical history and disclose any allergens during your free initial consultation. Allergic reactions can result in rashes, redness, itching, and asthma symptoms. These side effects should resolve within 48 hours of the treatment.

How Much Do Wrinkle Treatments Cost?

The cost of wrinkle treatments starts at $260 for 1 area. Your b clinic practitioner will provide a free treatment plan with estimated costs at your initial consultation. Schedule a free consultation today to start your journey to smoother, younger-looking skin.

How to Reverse the Signs of Ageing

Reverse Signs of Ageing

How to reverse the visible signs of ageing

Here’s a sag, there’s a bag, everywhere a fine line… if you’re starting to notice more and more visible signs of ageing, you’re not alone.

Late nights, sun exposure, and stress can all take a toll on your skin and cause fine lines and wrinkles to develop.

But it’s never too late or too early to reverse ageing skin. Today, we have more effective treatments than ever before to stop the clock and keep you looking your best.

In this guide, you’ll learn why skin ageing happens and what you can do to keep your skin looking fresh and youthful.

What Causes Ageing Skin?

Collagen is an essential building block for healthy skin. It’s a protein that keeps the skin springy, firm, and youthful. Unfortunately, from around 20 years of age, our bodies start producing 1% less collagen every year. As a result, our skin looks progressively more dry and dull.

This dryness makes the appearance of fine lines more noticeable. Your skin’s increasing lack of plumpness and elasticity leads to those dreaded wrinkles. It can also cause skin laxity around your jowls, eyes and neck.

Exposure to the sun’s powerful UV rays also plays a key role in skin ageing. The sun’s rays break down the collagen in the skin and accelerate the ageing process.

Are There Non-Surgical Ways To Reverse Skin Ageing?

There are many effective minimally invasive procedures to get smoother, younger-looking skin. We offer the latest advanced treatments designed to rejuvenate and plump those ageing signs out of existence.

To get the most benefit from these treatments, you should start taking more care of your skin in your 20s and 30s. Of course, you can still get great results at any age, but you’ll need fewer treatments to achieve your goals if you start earlier.

Let’s take a look at what you can do about ageing skin.

Book Appointment

Get Rid of Age Spots and Pigmentation

Some of the first signs of ageing are skin discolourations, age spots and sunspots. Melasma (brown to grey patches) and broken capillaries soon follow.

One of the most effective treatments to reverse these signs of ageing is IPL Skin Rejuvenation (intense pulsed light). It uses bursts of laser energy to target the brown and red pigmentation on the skin while leaving the surrounding tissue untouched.

Laser resurfacing can be an effective treatment for more severe pigmentation. PicoSure, photodynamic therapy, and Revlite lasers use powerful laser and light energy to destroy imperfections and leave you with clearer and more youthful skin.

Chemical peels can also be a great way to address pigmentation, poor skin texture and other visible signs of ageing. A chemical solution is applied to the face to remove the damaged and dead skin cells.

New skin replaces the older dull layers, and the age spots and pigmentation are removed, along with fine lines and superficial wrinkles.

Microdermabrasion is a popular add-on treatment that works well with chemical peels and laser therapies. It rejuvenates the skin by removing dead and damaged skin cells and encouraging cell renewal through exfoliation. There’s no downtime, and your skin will feel smoother and softer after a single session.

Fine Lines Just Ain’t That Fine

If you’re starting to develop crepey skin, forehead lines, crow’s feet or frown lines, anti-wrinkle injections can help you get smoother, younger-looking skin fast.

Most people develop wrinkles where the facial muscles are most active. So the eyes, mouth, and forehead are usually the first areas lines and wrinkles develop.

Anti-wrinkle injections cause the overactive muscles under the skin to relax, allowing the skin to become smoother and stopping lines from developing further. It’s a simple and fast treatment you can have in your lunch hour.

Another super-effective way to reverse ageing skin is DermaPen Skin Needling. Tiny needles are used to penetrate the skin and create micro-channels. This stimulates the body’s healing process and boosts collagen production. DermaPen Skin Needling can be combined with PRP for a powerful anti-ageing rejuvenation.

One of the best ways to improve skin condition and banish fine lines is a Beauty Booster Treatment. Tiny amounts of dermal filler are injected along the crease of your wrinkles and evenly across the skin for a transformative effect. A single session can provide your skin with intense hydration and boost elasticity for younger, smoother skin.

Plump It Up

In your 30s, moisture transfer from your dermis to the epidermis slows, and your skin’s fat cells start to shrink. This creates a characteristic loss of volume and hollowing around the eyes, lips, temples, cheeks, jaw, and nasolabial folds.

The solution? Try dermal fillers to turn back the clock.

Dermal fillers can plump up the skin from within and restore lost volume to eliminate signs of ageing and re-contour the skin. It’s an excellent treatment for a range of skin concerns.

You can combine dermal fillers with other anti-ageing treatments, including a GLOW Facial Treatment. The growth factors and hormones used in a GLOW Facial stimulate cell renewal. Your skin gets everything it needs to regenerate for a more youthful appearance.

Stop Sagging Skin

Loss of tissue and fat creates telltale skin laxity, particularly around your jawline, neck, and eyes. As you age, these are three areas where fattening up is allowed!

At b clinic, we get great results with non-surgical treatments such as Ultherapy, PDO Threads, and Beauty Booster treatments.

Ultherapy is known as the best alternative to a surgical facelift. It’s a powerful skin tightening treatment that uses ultrasound energy to tighten the skin and encourage new collagen and elastin growth. There’s no downtime, and results will get better and better for the next 12 months.

PDO Threads can lift and tighten loose and sagging skin without any incisions or cuts. The treatment uses an absorbable polymer to anchor sagging skin and stimulate cellular fibroblasts. It’s a powerful collage boosting treatment that tightens and thickens the skin.

Most skin sagging is caused by volume loss, so you can also get amazing results with a Beauty Booster treatment. This is often combined with strategically placed dermal filler injections to plump the skin and restore lost volume.

If you have moderate skin laxity around the eye area, eyelid surgery can achieve dramatic results that take years off your appearance.

How Do I Know Which Anti-Ageing Treatment Is Right for Me?

Your journey to younger skin starts with a free consultation. Your b clinic practitioner will assess your skin, listen to your goals and concerns, and recommend the anti-ageing treatment that’s right for you.

We can help you reverse ageing skin and get a brighter, glowing complexion without the expense, downtime, and side effects that come with more invasive cosmetic surgery. Book a free consultation today.

Which Cosmetic Enhancement Treatment Is Right For You

Learn About Enhancement

Learn Which Cosmetic Enhancement Is Right for You

Even the most beautiful people would admit to wanting to enhance some aspect of their appearance – like plumper, more contoured cheeks, more luscious lips or a slimmer jaw for that perfect v-shaped face.

If you’re thinking about getting a cosmetic “tweakment” or beauty enhancement, the number of options available can be overwhelming.

How do you know where to start?

The good news is you don’t have to resort to surgery to look your best self. With state-of-the-art dermal fillers, skin treatments and muscle relaxants, you can achieve great results in your lunch hour without going under the knife.

Whether you’re in your 20s or 50s, here’s our guide to the most effective ways to enhance your look and feel more confident, beautiful and rejuvenated.

Which Are the Best Cosmetic Procedures?

The best beauty enhancements help you look like the best version of yourself. For some people, that might mean a cosmetic treatment that changes the shape of your face, and for others, it might be a natural-looking enhancement that makes you appear more rested and rejuvenated.

Here’s our guide to the most popular cosmetic enhancements.

Beautifully Contour Your Face

Well-defined cheekbones are a classic sign of youthful beauty. If nature hasn’t blessed you with contoured, high cheekbones that are plump in all the right places, you can achieve the same effect with dermal fillers.

Cheek fillers add volume to the area above your cheekbones to create a more defined facial structure. The dermal filler can also lift the skin from within to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles for a more youthful appearance.

Why this treatment is a great option for you:

You get instantly fresher, more natural, beautiful facial contours and define your cheekbones with minimal downtime – you can often do these subtle treatments during your lunch hour.

It’s a low-risk procedure with instant results. We can easily make adjustments and add more filler after your initial treatment to achieve your desired results.

Re-Sculpt Your Nose

There’s a reason why so many celebrities get a nose job – achieving the perfect nose shape can transform your face. But you don’t need to submit yourself to painful surgery with long recovery times. Today’s dermal fillers are the new, non-surgical reshaping treatment to make your nose look straighter, larger or more symmetrical.

A non-invasive nose job provides faster results with none of the downtime and painful side effects of rhinoplasty reconstructive surgery.

Why this treatment is a great option for you:

You can quickly correct aesthetic issues and make subtle changes that leave you looking naturally more beautiful. Make your nasal tip more defined and reduce the appearance of dents, bumps or other imperfections in shape for the new profile you’ve always dreamed of.

Reshape Your Chin

If you feel like your chin isn’t prominent enough or is out of balance with the rest of your face, dermal fillers can make all the difference. A non-surgical chin enhancement can transform the appearance of your lower face. It can add definition and elongate the chin for a more balanced v-shaped facial profile.

You can address sagging in the lower face and lift the jowls with a non-invasive cosmetic enhancement that offers instant results.

Why this treatment is a great option for you:

In less than an hour in the clinic, you can correct the chin’s symmetry and achieve a visual balance that totally transforms your appearance – and you won’t have to wear bandages for weeks afterwards, either.

You can show off your new look immediately after treatment. You’ll only have to come back for a top-up procedure every 6-12 months.

Define Your Jawline

Your jawline may always have been asymmetrical, or perhaps as you’ve aged, your jowls have begun to sag and make you older than you truly are. A non-invasive jaw enhancement can restore volume where it’s been lost, strengthen the jawline, and strategically lift the jowls for natural-looking results.

Dermal filler injections also boost elastin and collagen production in the area, making the skin in your lower face appear tighter, healthier, and more youthful.

Why this treatment is a great option for you:

Quickly and non-surgically enhance the look of your jawline and jowls, fixing everything from lack of definition to the tell-tale sag of ageing. Jaw fillers are one of the best beauty enhancements for transforming the lower face.

Take Some Weight off Your Jawline

Some people feel their jaw is too large for their face or would prefer a v-shape rather than a square or round jawline. Others complain that their jaw looks clenched even when they’re relaxed. Jaw slimming muscle relaxants can help.

By targeting the overactive masseter muscles, injections of muscle relaxant can soften the jawline. Over a series of treatments, the size of the masseters reduces, and you get a more attractive v-shaped facial structure. The muscle relaxant product is a safe substance used in anti-wrinkle injections and involves very little risk when injected by a highly trained doctor or practitioner.

Why this treatment is a great option for you:

It’s the perfect pain-free way to quickly achieve a slimmer or softer silhouette. You can change the shape of your lower face without the incisions, painful side effects, and downtime of plastic surgery.

Eradicate Skin Imperfections

If you’ve got acne scarring, uneven skin texture, skin discolourations, or your skin looks tired and dull, there’s a wide range of treatments to give you back your youthful, smoother and more beautiful skin.

Chemical Peels

Skin peels can boost your skin’s natural glow and make a dramatic improvement to pigmentation, sun damage, and acne scars. There are several different peels to treat specific skin concerns, from low concentration rejuvenation to deep exfoliation and cell renewal. Your clinician will be able to recommend the right chemical peel for your skin type and aesthetic goals.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light therapy) or photorejuvenation is a quick in-clinic procedure. It’s an effective, long-lasting solution for removing spots and scarring, reducing pore size, eliminating and reducing wrinkles, and improving your overall skin texture, smoothness, and skin tone. The technology can also treat unwanted hair with laser hair removal.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion sprays tiny exfoliating crystals onto your skin to remove tired, dead skin for a smoother new layer and a flawless glow. You can expect an immediate improvement to skin texture and tone after a single treatment, with results improving after each session.

Why these treatments are a great option for you:

These aesthetic treatments are so effective because they stimulate the body’s natural healing process and encourage cell renewal. They boost collagen and elastin production to treat visible signs of ageing to make skin smoother and more even-toned. You can fit a session into your lunch break, and results continue to improve after multiple treatments.

Matrix PDO Threads

Matrix PDO Threads

The Matrix PDO Thread treatment improves skin texture and quality by thickening and tightening the skin. It can also create volume and support to give a subtle lift to areas of the face and body that are starting to show visible signs of ageing, such as fine lines and skin laxity.

Matrix PDO Threads differ from PDO Thread Lifts, which use long barbed threads to lift tissues. The Matrix PDO Threads activate collagen synthesis to provide an improvement to fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Matrix PDO Threads
    From $250

*We recommend all clients book a free consultation with one of our experienced b clinic practitioners. Your practitioner will assess your suitability and advise you of the exact cost to treat your area of concern.

What Are PDO Threads?

PDO threads are made of a material called Polydioxanone, an absorbable polymer that is flexible and durable. The Matrix PDO Threads work by triggering fibroblasts, which induce collagen production, creating a skin tightening effect that can last 6-12 months.

The threads work by becoming a support structure for your skin, allowing natural collagen production to take place. Over a 6-month period, the threads will be absorbed into the body.

The Matrix PDO Threads come in two different textures, Mono and Double Screw.

The Matrix Mono Thread treatment uses a type of single PDO filament. These threads are smooth and versatile, as they can be safely placed in most areas of the face and body.

Matrix Screw Threads have 1-2 intertwined threads, which provide double the volumising effect of a single mono thread. These threads are perfect for treating sunken or sagging areas that require more volume and lift.

Who is suitable for this treatment?

If you want to improve skin texture and firmness in the face, neck, or chest, you could be a good candidate for a skin tightening Matrix PDO Threads treatment. The minimally invasive procedure is an effective way to boost natural collagen production for a skin rejuvenation effect. The best way to find out if PDO threads are right for you is to book a free consultation with our skin experts.

What happens during a Matrix PDO Thread treatment?

Matrix PDO Threads are a minimally invasive treatment and do not involve any incisions or stitches.

Around 30 minutes before beginning your treatment, a topical anaesthetic will be applied to the skin. Once the area is sufficiently numbed, the PDO threads are inserted into the skin using a micro-needle or cannula in a mesh-like pattern to achieve maximum skin tightening effects.

The PDO threads support the facial tissue, allowing for a gradual skin thickening and tightening effect. The Matrix Mono Threads treatment promotes collagen production and can have a lasting effect for up to 12 months post-treatment.

How long does the Matrix PDO Thread Treatment take?

The treatment time will vary based on the size of your treatment area. A treatment can take between 30 to 60 minutes. You’re free to return to your regular routine as soon as you leave the clinic.

When will I see results from Matrix PDO Threads?

You will begin to see results in 6 weeks, which will continue to improve over the next 2 to 6 months as new collagen is produced. Although the threads will slowly dissolve, you will continue to see the treatment benefits for up to 12 months.

Do Matrix PDO Threads hurt?

Most clients do not describe Matrix PDO Threads as painful. A topical anaesthetic is applied before the procedure to minimise any discomfort during the application of the Matrix Mono Threads. You may experience redness, tenderness, and mild bruising in the treated area for a few days post-procedure.

Is there any downtime?

Matrix Mono Threads are a minimally invasive treatment with little to no downtime. You can return to work and most social activities immediately following treatment.

Your clinician may recommend that you minimise movement in the area treated for a few days after your session to reduce the risk of any unwanted side effects. It’s also advisable to avoid hot saunas and strenuous exercise for a few days to avoid irritating the treated area and increasing the risk of swelling.

Can I combine Matrix PDO Threads with other cosmetic treatments?

Matrix PDO Threads can be combined with Dermal Fillers, Anti-Wrinkle Injections, and  is part of a recommended treatment plan. Your b clinic practitioner will evaluate your skin concerns and advise on the skin tightening and rejuvenation treatments that will provide optimal results.

How to prepare for a Matrix PDO Threads treatment?

Your practitioner will provide pre-treatment instructions during your initial consultation at b clinic. This consultation is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have about the treatment and what to expect.

You should avoid smoking or alcohol consumption for 48 hours before the procedure. It’s also important to stop taking anti-inflammatory medications for a week before treatment. If you have a history of herpes or other viral skin problems, your clinician may recommend that you start taking anti-viral medicines one week before treatment.

What are the aftercare instructions for a Matrix Mono Threads treatment?

You will also receive aftercare instructions to help you achieve optimal results following your Matrix Mono Threads procedure. This includes avoiding strenuous exercise or saunas for 72 hours and not using any oil-based skincare products for 24 hours post-treatment.

It’s important to take care of the treated area and avoid any massages, rubbing, or cosmetic treatments that could dislodge or interfere with the PDO threads for around two weeks.

Possible risks and complications

Matrix Mono Threads are minimally invasive skin tightening treatments with much less risk than cosmetic surgery. However, all cosmetic treatments do carry the risk of some unwanted side effects.

It’s not uncommon to experience tenderness and mild swelling and bruising in the treated area following Matrix Mono Threads. However, these side effects are mild and typically subside within 48 hours of treatment.

In some cases, Matrix PDO Threads can result in more severe side effects, including visible sutures, hematoma, dimpling of the skin, and snapping of the thread material. As with all injectable treatments, there is also a small risk of infection.

The risk of potential complications can be minimised by choosing a professional clinic with trained and experienced medical staff.

How much does a Matrix PDO Thread treatment cost?

The cost of this treatment will vary based on the size of the treatment area. Treatment prices start from $250. We recommend all clients book a free consultation with one of our experienced b clinic practitioners. Your practitioner will assess your suitability and advise you of the exact cost of treating your area of concern.

Our practitioners offer bespoke treatments to achieve beautiful, natural-looking results for every client.

The absorbable lifting threads are made from polydioxanone, a dissolvable polymer that has been safely used in medical procedures for decades. Once the threads are inserted, they act as anchors to lift the skin. Any excess thread is cut off once the skin has been contoured into place.

The PDO threads lift your skin, but the procedure also stimulates a powerful collagen-boosting response within the body. The tissue around the threads is flooded with new collagen and elastin, strengthening the skin and making it look smoother, firmer, and more youthful.

Once the cannulas are removed, the PDO threads procedure is complete. You’ll be able to go back to work and social activities immediately. Unlike a surgical facelift, there is no extended downtime or bandages required.

The entire PDO Thread Lift treatment takes around one hour.

Which Areas Can Be Treated With a PDO Thread Lift?

PDO Thread Lifts are a versatile treatment that can be used to improve the appearance of loose skin, fine lines, and wrinkles in multiple areas of the face, including:

  • Jawline
  • Jowls
  • Under-eye area
  • Cheeks
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Smile lines
  • Neck

The treatment is particularly effective for the cheeks and lower face. You can combine PDO threads with other treatments like dermal fillers and Ultherapy for a complete facial skin rejuvenation.

When Will I See Results?

You’ll see an immediate contouring effect and improvement to skin laxity following a PDO thread treatment. Results will continue to improve over the next 8-12 weeks as the body produces more collagen and elastin. You’ll be able to see the final results around two months after treatment, with the effects lasting for up to 12 months.

Is There Any Downtime?

There is no extended downtime after a thread lift procedure. You may experience mild swelling and bruising, but most people go straight back to their regular routine.

Your practitioner will provide aftercare instructions on what to do following your PDO threads treatment. It’s important not to rub or irritate the treated skin.

For the first few days, you should avoid strenuous exercise and saunas. Your practitioner may also advise you to avoid sleeping on your side for the first-week post-treatment.

How Long Does a PDO Thread Lift Last?

Results from a PDO Thread Lift are long-lasting. The body will absorb the actual PDO threads around 6 months after the treatment. However, the increase in collagen production can last for 12 months or longer, depending on your metabolism, lifestyle, and other factors.

Can I Make Results Last Longer?

The longevity of results for thread lift procedures depends on your age, metabolism, and how your body reacts to the procedure. After 6 months, the body will fully absorb the PDO threads material, and collagen production will start to slow down.

You can extend treatment results by adopting a good skincare regime and a healthy lifestyle. It’s important to avoid excessive sun exposure, and smoking as both can break down the new collagen fibres formed around the PDO threads.

How To Prepare for a Thread Lift?

You’ll be provided with pre-treatment instructions during your initial consultation. Your practitioner will ask you about any medical conditions or medications you take that could affect treatment outcomes.

You should stop taking blood-thinning medication and anti-inflammatory drugs one week before treatment. Your practitioner will also advise you to avoid alcohol consumption for 48 hours pre-treatment to minimise the risk of side effects.

Is a Thread Lift Procedure Painful?

PDO threads are not considered painful. A topical anaesthetic is used to numb the treatment area before cannulas are inserted into the skin. As with all injectables, you may experience mild discomfort and stinging as the local anaesthetic is applied.

The PDO threads are inserted using specially designed cannulas to minimise discomfort and pain around the injection sites. You may experience some mild bruising and soreness for a few days post-procedure. You can use makeup to disguise any signs of treatment and use over the counter pain relief if required.

Are PDO Threads Safe?

PDO Thread Lifts are a safe treatment that has been performed hundreds of thousands of times in Australia and worldwide. It’s a minimally invasive alternative to a facelift that doesn’t involve any of the risks of surgery and general anaesthetic.

When Is the Right Time To Have a Thread Lift Treatment?

The right time to have a PDO Thread Lift depends on your unique skin concerns. It’s an effective treatment for mild to moderate facial ageing and skin laxity.

The best way to know if a PDO Thread Lift is right for you is to book a free consultation with one of our skin experts here at b clinic. They’ll advise you on the best treatment plan for your individual skin concerns.

For people with severe facial ageing, facelift surgery may be the better option to lift sagging skin and help you achieve your desired treatment outcomes.

Can a PDO Thread Lift be Combined With Anti-Wrinkle Injections?

PDO threads provide impressive results as a standalone treatment or in combination with other procedures, including anti-wrinkle injections.

While a PDO Thread Lift rejuvenates and thickens the skin by boosting collagen production, Anti Wrinkle Injections address the overactive muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles to form.

A combination of a PDO Thread Lift and Anti Wrinkle Injections can improve skin texture and tone while eliminating and preventing wrinkles and folds.

Possible Risks and Complications

A thread lift is a low-risk skin tightening treatment. It involves none of the risks of surgery, but you should be aware of the potential side effects and complications.

It’s not unusual to experience mild, temporary swelling and bruising in the treated area. You may also feel some soreness and discomfort around the injection sites.

There is a risk of an allergic reaction to the PDO thread material in rare cases. It’s also possible the threads cause temporary lumps under the skin. As with all injectable procedures, there is also a small risk of infection.

It’s important to attend a consultation with your practitioner before a PDO Thread Lift. They will inform you of what to expect following treatment and during the recovery process. Choosing an experienced clinician will also minimise the risk of any unwanted side effects.

How Much Does a PDO Thread Lift cost?

A PDO Thread Lift is a faster and more affordable alternative to a surgical facelift. You can achieve enhanced skin texture and address facial ageing with little to no downtime.

The cost of a PDO Thread Lift starts at $2400. Schedule a free consultation with one of our team of skin experts today to find out if you’re a good candidate for this treatment.

Achieve smoother, firmer, younger-looking skin by exfoliating the skin’s surface.

How Does Microdermabrasion Work?

Microdermabrasion is a results-oriented skin rejuvenation procedure using a two-step process that can brighten your complexion and reduce the appearance of dull skin and fine lines.

The first stage of the treatment acts on the outermost layer of skin.

Your clinician will use a diamond head handpiece to buff away damaged and dead skin cells. The abrasive process clears away impurities and exfoliates the skin to encourage cell renewal.

The treatment is then finished with a serum infusion or mask tailored to your skin concerns, such as an anti-ageing antioxidant infusion or a clarifying mask to alleviate skin congestion.

As further treatments are undertaken, your skin will become even clearer to see and smoother to touch.

Each microdermabrasion procedure takes under an hour. It can be used as a stand-alone treatment or as an addition to almost any other skin treatment offered by b clinic.

We recommend six or more treatments for optimal results, usually one to four weeks apart.

Who Is Suitable To Have This Treatment?

Microdermabrasion is a great option for those that want to treat superficial skin concerns without the risks and downtime of more invasive procedures.

It’s suitable for all skin types and can effectively treat dull skin, acne scarring, congested skin, and pigmentation. You can get brighter, smoother, younger-looking skin over a series of microdermabrasion sessions.

Benefits of Medical Microdermabrasion

Get brighter and more even-toned skin with a medical-grade microdermabrasion cosmetic treatment.

This non-invasive procedure offers many benefits, including:

Brighter and Clearer Complexion

By gently removing the surface layer of dead skin, microdermabrasion reveals the younger, clearer layers beneath to give you a healthier and brighter complexion.

Eliminate Breakouts

Microdermabrasion helps eliminate blackheads and prevent acne breakouts by cleansing the skin, unclogging your pores, and clearing away impurities.

Fight the Signs of Ageing

Medical microdermabrasion is a powerful anti-ageing treatment, reducing skin congestion and stimulating cell renewal to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, and acne scarring.

Convenience

You can have a microdermabrasion treatment during your lunch break. Your skin will look fresher and more youthful, and you can return to work in the afternoon with no telltale signs of treatment.

What Skin Conditions Can Medical-Grade Microdermabrasion Treat?

Microdermabrasion is a versatile treatment that can improve a range of skin concerns with minimal downtime, including:

  • Acne scarring
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Enlarged & open pores
  • Pigmentation
  • Fine lines
  • Excess oil production

*Available at selected clinics only. For full terms and conditions on packages, click here

When Will I See Results?

You’ll notice an immediate improvement after a single medical microdermabrasion session. Your clinician may recommend a series of treatments depending on your aesthetic goals and the skin concerns you want to treat.

For more extensive skin blemishes or scarring, you may require several treatments to achieve clear and even-toned skin.

How Long Do Microdermabrasion Results Last?

The longevity of results depends on your treatment goals and skincare regime. The body is continually regenerating skin cells, and the effects of microdermabrasion are cumulative.

Depending on your skin condition, your practitioner may recommend a series of initial treatments. After the initial treatment period, you may need to visit the clinic for a follow-up session every couple of months to maintain your results.

How Many Microdermabrasion Treatments Will I Need?

The number of sessions you will need depends on your treatment goals. A single microdermabrasion session can leave your skin looking brighter and feeling smoother.

If you want to improve a specific skin concern like acne scarring, sun-damaged skin, or stretch marks, you will need multiple sessions to achieve your desired results. Your clinician will recommend a personalised treatment schedule during your free consultation. Generally, we recommend six microdermabrasion sessions spaced 1-4 weeks apart.

How Long Does a Session Take?

A typical session takes around 30 minutes. Your Brisbane microdermabrasion practitioner will cleanse your face before and after the treatment. Many clients also apply makeup once the treatment is complete. You’ll be in and out of the clinic within an hour.

How Do I Prepare for Medical Microdermabrasion?

Medical-grade microdermabrasion is a non-invasive treatment that can be performed with little to no preparation on your part. You should discuss your skin concerns with your practitioner during your free consultation and inform them of any allergies or medical conditions you have.

You may be advised to avoid exfoliation skin care products for three days and ensure your face is free of makeup on the day of the procedure.

Is There Any Downtime After Microdermabrasion?

There is no downtime associated with medical-grade microdermabrasion. You can drop by the clinic for your treatment, leave within the hour, and carry on with the rest of your regular daily routine.

In the days following the procedure, your skin can be more sensitive to the sun’s UV rays. Your clinician will advise you to protect your skin with sunscreen and avoid prolonged sun exposure.

You can find out what to expect after your session in our microdermabrasion aftercare guide.

Which Skin Types Are Suitable for Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is suitable for all skin types. Unlike some laser therapies and more invasive treatments, medical microdermabrasion can provide excellent results for every skin tone. Your b clinic clinician will assess and provide a complementary treatment plan during your free consultation at b clinic.

Can Microdermabrasion Help Acne?

Microdermabrasion can be an effective treatment for people that suffer from acne. By gently removing the top layer of dead cells and clearing the pores, microdermabrasion helps to reduce breakouts of blackheads and whiteheads. The cosmetic procedure can also be used to treat acne scars.

Does Microdermabrasion Hurt?

The non-invasive procedure is relatively pain-free. You may experience some mild discomfort with a sensation of scratching and suction on your skin, but this is short-lived. You shouldn’t feel any pain during or after treatment.

How Much Skin Does Microdermabrasion Remove?

When performed correctly, microdermabrasion removes the outermost skin layer, known as the stratum corneum. This top layer of skin is where dead skin cells, excess oil, and impurities accumulate. Microdermabrasion clears away this top layer of skin and stimulates cell renewal and collagen production for a brighter complexion and smoother, younger-looking skin.

Can I Wear Makeup After Treatment?

Yes, you will be able to apply makeup following a microdermabrasion session. Following the exfoliation, your skin may feel more tender, so we recommend mineral-based makeup instead of oil-based products for the first 24 hours following treatment.

Can Microdermabrasion Be Combined With Other Treatments?

Microdermabrasion is often combined with other cosmetic procedures as part of a treatment plan, including chemical peels, dermal fillers, and anti-wrinkle injections. Your practitioner will recommend the best treatment or combination of treatments for your specific skin concerns during your free consultation.

What Is the Difference Between Microdermabrasion and Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a cosmetic treatment that is sometimes confused with microdermabrasion. While microdermabrasion uses refined crystals to exfoliate the skin, dermaplaning uses a scalpel to scrape away the top layers of skin. Both treatments offer exfoliation benefits, but microdermabrasion is more effective at targeting the delicate areas of the face and is generally the preferred treatment option.

Is Microdermabrasion Safe?

Yes, microdermabrasion is a very safe procedure when performed by an experienced practitioner. As with all skin therapies, there is a small risk of irritation and redness. But these side effects typically only last for a few hours post-treatment.

There is a risk of pigmentation and skin damage if microdermabrasion is overdone. It’s important to choose a reputable clinic with experienced practitioners to avoid any unwanted side effects.

Possible Risks and Complications

Microdermabrasion targets the superficial layers of skin, so side effects are generally mild and rare. You may experience redness and tenderness in the treated area, but these side effects typically last only a few hours after the procedure.

There is the possibility of minor bruising, but this is unusual when an experienced clinician performs the medical microdermabrasion treatment. Your clinician may advise you to use a moisturiser to reduce the risk of flaky skin and recommend you avoid direct sun exposure for a few days post-treatment.

Who Is Suitable for This Treatment?

Skin needling is a suitable treatment for all skin types and skin tones. It’s an effective treatment for people looking to improve the condition of the skin and treat a range of skin concerns

The procedure can improve pigmentation, uneven skin tone, acne scars, wrinkles, fine lines, and other visible signs of ageing. Skin needling is typically used to treat the face, but it can also be used on the neck and decolletage.

How it works.

DermaPen is a painless, non-invasive procedure that uses Advanced Oscillating Vertical Needling (AOVN™) technology with disposable tips, each containing surgical grade stainless steel Microderm needles that painlessly penetrate the skin, creating micro-channels.

This stimulates collagen-producing cells and allows the active ingredients of topical products to penetrate deeper into the skin for more intense rejuvenation.

As a result, your skin’s appearance takes on a natural glow, and scars and wrinkles naturally fade away.

While more invasive skin rejuvenation treatments remove or damage the top layer of skin, skin needling penetrates the deeper layers of the dermis without causing damage to the top layer. This allows for faster healing and deep collagen stimulation without the side effects associated with ablative procedures.

Skin needling treatments take around 30 minutes in clinic, depending on the size of the area being treated and if numbing cream is required.

How Soon Will I See Results From Collagen Induction Therapy?

Most people see an improvement after the first treatment, with significant regeneration and revitalisation occurring after 3 to 6 treatments for very damaged skin.

Some clients can benefit from a Sublative RF treatment for more stubborn, deeper set skin concerns.

You’ll see the best results around 6 to 8 weeks after treatment when your collagen begins to rebuild.

After that, better tone, texture and elasticity will be increasingly visible over the next 12 months.

How Long Do Microneedling Results Last?

The longevity of results can vary from person to person.

A series of treatments spaced 2-6 weeks apart is usually recommended to achieve the best results.

For most clients, the visible effects of new collagen and elastin production remain visible for up to 1-year post-treatment.

Your clinician may recommend that you return to the clinic for a follow-up session every 6 months to maintain your results.

Does Skin Needling Hurt?

Although we apply a numbing cream to the treated area 30 minutes before skin needling, sometimes there is still discomfort.

However, some people comment the procedure is very tolerable – so it may depend on your pain threshold.

Do I Need To Do Anything To Prepare for a Microneedling Session?

Your b clinic practitioner will advise you on what to do to prepare for a skin needling treatment. You may be advised to stop taking ibuprofen or aspirin the week before the procedure to minimise the risk of any side effects. Topical retinoids can also increase the risk of side effects from treatment.

What Can I Expect After a Treatment?

There is little downtime required for this treatment. Immediately afterwards, your skin may appear red and slightly tender, much like a mild sunburn.

We offer a complimentary application of Oxygenetix foundation to camouflage this redness – it also contains properties to soothe and heal your skin.

The following day, your skin may appear light brown. Some people may experience a light shedding or peel.

Most clients do not need to take any time off work or miss out on social activities following skin needling. Once the treatment is complete, you can return to your normal daily routine.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments required will depend on the skin concerns you want to treat and the results you want to achieve.

For example, fine lines and other superficial skin concerns typically require fewer sessions than deeper wrinkles and scarring.

Your clinician will examine your skin during your free consultation at b clinic and recommend a series of 3-6 treatments to achieve your desired results.

What Is the Difference Between a DermaPen and Derma Roller?

A derma roller is a skin needling device that uses a rotating wheel with tiny microneedles to puncture the skin.

The needles cannot be adjusted and pierce the skin at a single depth.

Derma rollers can help stimulate collagen and elastin production and treat superficial skin concerns, but they do not penetrate deep enough to provide dramatic rejuvenation results.

DermaPen is the most advanced skin needling device available in Australia.

While derma rollers move horizontally across the skin, the DermaPen delivers the microneedles vertically, triggering the body to produce more collagen by penetrating the deeper layers of the dermis.

It can be used to treat harder to reach areas around the nose, mouth, and eyes.

Can Skin Needling Treat Acne Scarring and Stretch Marks?

Skin needling is one of the most effective non-invasive treatments for acne scarring and stretch marks.

A series of treatments can provide a significant improvement by boosting collagen production and repairing the soft tissue.

Indentation is reduced, and the skin area appears smoother and more even-toned.

Is Microneedling Safe?

Yes. Microneedling is safe when it is performed by a trained professional in a clinical setting.

However, the procedure makes tiny puncture wounds in the skin, so it’s vital that the skin is prepared correctly before treatment and sterile equipment is used.

Possible Risks and Complications

The most common side effect after a DermaPen skin needling procedure is mild skin irritation in the treated area.

There is also a potential risk of mild swelling, redness, and flaking of the skin. In rare cases, bleeding may also occur.

There is a risk of serious side effects, including infection if the skin needling device is not sterile before use.

It’s important to choose a reputable cosmetic clinic experienced with skin needling to minimise the risk of any side effects.

SALICYLIC ACID PEEL

This peel is best suited for congested or acne-prone skin. It dissolves dirt deep down in the pores and breaks down keratin that produces blackheads and whiteheads.

Salicylic acid peels also help kill the bacteria that causes breakouts, resulting in a cleaner, clearer complexion.

GLYCOLIC PEEL

A single glycolic peel can exfoliate dead skin cells for fresher, brighter skin.

A more intense treatment, glycolic peels are a great collagen-boosting procedure that can treat scarring, skin discolourations, and visible signs of ageing.

With a course of treatments, this peel is an effective way to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

TIMELESS/VITAMIN A PEEL

Vitamin A peels promote cell turnover and collagen production to target superficial to medium skin concerns.

This is an effective peel for treating fine lines, wrinkles, thinning of the skin, and dull complexion.

You’ll get brighter, stronger, and younger-looking skin over the course of 6 treatments spaced 2-6 weeks apart.

JESSNER PEEL

A combination of salicylic acid, lactic acid and resorcinol, the Jessner peel is a superficial to medium peel designed to treat oily skin, enlarged pores, congestion and pigmentation. Suitable for most skin types.

TCA PEEL

The TCA peel is a powerful rejuvenation medical grade peel that can treat superficial, medium, and deep skin concerns.

It can effectively treat severe sun-damaged skin, photo ageing, pigmentation, thickened skin, and mild scarring. Suitable only for lighter skin types I-III.

We recommend a course of 1-4 peels, 1-6 months apart, dependent on peel strength, peel layers, skin type, skin condition and desired outcomes.

If you are unsure which skin peel treatment will be most beneficial for you, book a free consultation with one of our highly experienced skin therapists.

Who Is Suitable For This Treatment?

Medical grade chemical peels are a versatile skin rejuvenation treatment that can be tailored to target a range of skin concerns.

This makes chemical skin peels suitable for anyone who wants to improve their complexion and skin health without the risk and downtime associated with more invasive cosmetic procedures.

During your free consultation at b clinic, your skin therapist will examine your skin concerns and recommend the right peel for you.

What Skin Concerns Can Medical Grade Peels Treat?

Medical grade peels are an excellent treatment option for a range of skin concerns and imperfections.

The deep exfoliation properties of a chemical peel make it an effective treatment for:

  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Age spots
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Acne scarring
  • Congested skin (blackheads and clogged pores)
  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Thin skin
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Dull complexion
  • Oily skin

What Can I Expect During Treatment?

During your treatment, your skin therapist will cleanse your skin before applying the peel.

The medical grade peel solution is left on your skin for a period of time before a neutralising agent is used to stop the exfoliation reaction.

Your practitioner will then remove the peel ingredients from your skin and apply a moisturiser before you leave the clinic.

In total, the procedure takes around 30 minutes in clinic.

Is There Any Downtime?

Because professional chemical skin peels are so versatile, there is a range of treatment options with varying downtime.

With milder peels, you can immediately return to work and social activities. More intense peels promote a stronger exfoliation that may cause some mild swelling and redness.

For stronger peels, you may experience skin dryness and flaking. This is a normal reaction and signifies a good cell renewal response from the body. Peeling of the skin is similar to the effects of sunburn and can last for 3-4 days post-procedure.

After this time, fresh new skin will develop.

You should avoid direct sun exposure and skincare products containing active ingredients for around two weeks following a chemical peel.

Your clinician will provide full aftercare instructions based on your skin type and the type of peel.

How Many Medical Grade Peels Will I Need?

The number of treatments required will depend on the skin concerns you want to treat and your desired results.

Many clients report a significant improvement after a single treatment for superficial skin conditions.

However, for more severe skin concerns like deep lines and acne scarring, you may require a series of up to 6 sessions.

Your practitioner will be able to recommend a personalised treatment plan during your free consultation at b clinic.

Is It Painful?

Most clients describe medical grade peels as a warm, tingly sensation.

There is no serious pain or discomfort involved with the procedure.

Stronger peels may provoke a stronger sensation, but clients do not require any painkillers or local anaesthetic.

Possible Risks and Complications

Medical grade peels are a tried and tested cosmetic treatment.

The risks of side effects are much lower with superficial peels, but all peels are considered very safe when performed by a trained clinician.

Depending on the strength of the peel, you may experience redness, swelling, and peeling in the treated area.

Your clinician will provide you with all the aftercare information you need to minimise possible risks and ensure the best results following treatment.

How Long Will the Results Last?

Medical grade peel results are not permanent.

After a course of 6 sessions, you can expect treatment results to last for 6-12 months.

To maintain your clearer, younger-looking complexion, you may require regular maintenance sessions every 4-6 months.

How Much Do Medical Grade Peels Cost?

The cost of a medical grade peel depends on the type and strength of the peel.

Some clients also require more sessions than others to achieve their desired treatment results.

Chemical peel treatments start at $100. During your free consultation at b clinic, your practitioner will assess your skin concerns and recommend a treatment plan with a full breakdown of costs.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy

Looking for a way to lift, tighten, and define your lower face, chin and neck without surgery or injections?

Ultherapy may be the perfect solution for you!

As you age, your body creates less collagen, causing wrinkles and sagging skin that produces the visible signs of aging. Ultherapy is a non-surgical skin tightening and lifting procedure that non-invasively contracts your skin and stimulates collagen growth, resulting in a more youthful, lifted appearance for your face and neck.

A single Ultherapy treatment can boost your skin’s natural ability to produce fresh, new collagen to create a natural, noticeable definition and a firmer, more youthful appearance. Because it boosts natural collagen production deep beneath the skin’s surface, there’s no downtime or recovery period – the surface of your skin remains undamaged.

When Will I See the Results From Ultherapy?

The final results of Ultherapy are achieved after 3-6 months. You will notice a gradual improvement over this period with the skin becoming firmer and appearing more youthful as the body produces more collagen and elastin.

Patients usually require a single treatment, but you may need a second Ultherapy procedure after 6 months to achieve your desired look.

Ultherapy is often combined with cosmetic laser treatments to combat visible signs of ageing and rejuvenate sun-damaged skin.  We also combine the Ultherapy with biostimulator treatments to achieve improvement in the skin texture and to create a sublte lift and firming the lower face to provide impressive natural-looking results.

How Long Do Results Last?

As Ultherapy stimulates collagen production within the body, the longevity of results depends on the individual patient. Most clients only require one treatment, while some may benefit from an additional session.

Most patients are still satisfied with results 18 months to 5 years after their initial treatment. However, as your skin continues to age, we might recommend a 12-month follow-up treatment to continue combating any new signs of ageing. This is dependent on the factors that have contributed to the ageing process.

What Should I Expect During the Procedure?

During your consultation at b clinic, your clinician will discuss your treatment goals to ensure that Ultherapy is the right treatment for you.

Before treatment, a cooling gel is applied to the area to allow for better penetration of the ultrasound energy. A topical numbing cream will also be used to minimise any discomfort during the treatment.

Your clinician will use a monitor to visualise the area and determine the thickness of the skin. This will reveal the optimal level needed to achieve the best skin rejuvenation and collagen production for the non-surgical face-lift.

You may experience a brief heat sensation as the ultrasound energy is targeted into the layers of skin. You may feel minor discomfort with each 2-second ultrasound pulse, but treatment is usually pain-free due to the numbing cream.

The treatment time varies depending on the area being treated. A full treatment of the lower face and neck can take up to 90 minutes.

Once the non-invasive treatment is complete, patients can leave the clinic and carry on with their normal daily routine.

*Individual results may vary.

Ultherapy also combines wonderfully with hyper-diluted biostimulator filler treatments and laser procedures. Both of these treatments target the appearance of your skin, working in tandem with Ultherapy for a complete rejuvenation solution.

How Does Ultherapy Work?

Ultherapy’s groundbreaking technology uses ultrasound to stimulate and lift your skin’s deep structural support layers, including those typically targeted during a surgical face-lift.

By sending precise waves of ultrasound energy into targeted areas, Ultherapy can lift the skin and improve laxity of the face and neck without damaging the outer layers. The focused ultrasound energy stimulates new collagen and elastin production to kick start the growth of new stronger fibres. As a result, the skin becomes firmer, tighter, and younger-looking.

Ultrasound energy has been safely used for over 50 years, and patients have benefited from Ultherapy technology in over 700,000 treatments worldwide to date.

As our professionally trained practitioners deliver the ultrasound, you’ll feel tiny amounts of energy being deposited to precise depths in your skin. This indicates that the collagen-building process has begun.

Who Is Suitable to Have This Treatment?

Ultherapy is an effective skin-tightening solution for anybody looking to prevent or reverse the signs of ageing
It’s best suited to patients wanting to achieve a more youthful appearance without invasive treatments’ risks and side effects. You may be the ideal candidate for this treatment if you’ve recently noticed your:

  • Skin is less firm and toned
  • Jowls are heavier, & there’s skin laxity under your chin
  • The neck is lined & wrinkled
  • Jawline is less defined

We typically see great results in those aged 30 or older with mild to moderate soft tissue and skin laxity. Younger people who want to prevent the signs of ageing and those looking to prolong the effects of previous cosmetic surgery tend to achieve the best results from Ultherapy treatments.

Benefits of Ultherapy

Ultherapy is the best non-surgical treatment to contour, define and lift the lower face. You can achieve a more youthful look without the need for invasive treatments. This treatment offers several benefits, including:

Non-Invasive

Ultherapy delivers ultrasound heat energy into the deeper layers of the skin to lift and tighten the area around the chin and lower face creating a more defined jawline and youthful appearance without the risks and painful side effects associated with surgery or other invasive procedures.

Highly Targeted

Ultrasound imaging enables the clinician to visualise the deeper layers of skin. This allows for precise targeting of the ultrasound energy to achieve great results from a single treatment.

No Downtime

You can return to your regular daily routine immediately after receiving Ultherapy treatment. There is no downtime or need to avoid certain activities. The treated area may feel tender, and you may experience mild swelling, but these side effects are mild and will subside in the days following the procedure.

Natural Improvement

Results gradually improve over the weeks following your Ultherapy procedure. There are no dramatic instant results. Your friends and colleagues will think you look healthier and more youthful.

Long-Lasting Results

Because Ultherapy stimulates the body’s collagen and elastin production, results are long-lasting. You can expect your firmer skin and youthful glow to last from 18 months.

Does Ultherapy Replace a Surgical Face-Lift?

No, but Ultherapy treatments are an effective alternative for those not wanting to undergo a surgical face-lift. It can also help if you’ve previously had a face-lift but still feel unsatisfied with sagging jowls and skin laxity in the lower face and neck.

Ultherapy is considered the most effective non-surgical cosmetic face-lift procedure. With nearly a million treatments worldwide, Ultherapy is a popular alternative to surgery for both patients and clinicians.  By using ultrasound waves to stimulate collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin, Ultherapy treatments may reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles by lifting and tightening the lower face to improve skin laxity

Does Ultherapy Hurt?

Comfort levels vary from patient to patient, but any sensation you may feel will only occur during delivery of the micro-focused ultrasound energy. We’ll apply a numbing cream to your skin 45 minutes before the treatment to minimise any discomfort.

Immediately after your treatment, your skin may appear flushed, but this redness will disappear within a few hours. You can apply make-up straight after your treatment so you can return to normal activities.

Some patients may experience slight temporary swelling, tingling, or tenderness. Other less common post-procedural effects may include temporary bruising or numbness on small areas of the skin.

Is There Any Downtime?

No. After your procedure, you can immediately return to work, social activities, and exercise.

You may experience some minor redness and swelling, but this will subside within 24-48 hours. Your skin may feel tender and have a slight tingling sensation for up to a week post-procedure.

Possible Risks and Complications

Ultherapy is a very safe and clinically proven non-surgical procedure. Over 700,000 treatments have been performed worldwide, and 21 clinical studies support the efficacy of the non-invasive procedure.

The most common side-effects are the sensation of heat and tingling as the ultrasound energy is delivered during the procedure. You may also experience slight redness and swelling, but this will subside within a couple of days of treatment.

Side-effects can include bruising and numbness, but these are very rare and unlikely if a skilled clinician performs your treatment. Your skin may feel tender for up to a week post-procedure.

It’s important to choose a clinic that uses ultrasound visualisation as part of its Ultherapy skin tightening treatments. This technology enables the clinician to see the precise skin layers and target the ultrasound energy exactly where it needs to go to achieve the best possible skin lifting and tightening results.
