Lobuloplasty

Ear lobe surgery, or Lobuloplasty

is a surgical procedure to repair an ear lobe that has been torn or stretched, often due to wearing heavy earrings, wearing “gauged” earrings to enlarge the piercing or trauma such as having an earring pulled out of the ear.

The goal of this procedure is to reconstruct the ear lobe and close existing holes or tears. A relatively simple form of cosmetic surgery, it is performed with a local anaesthetic.

During ear lobe surgery, the earlobe can be trimmed or stitched to repair the damage. This surgery usually takes less than an hour and is accompanied by a minimal recovery period.
Most patients are back to work the next day.
