Stop the signs of time with our eye lid surgery. Instant results with minimum downtime.
A blepharoplasty procedure is performed through external surgical incisions made along the natural skin lines (creases) of the upper eyelids where excess skin and tissue due to gravity is removed from the upper eyelid.
Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery)Starting from $1800
How is the procedure performed?
The procedure is carried out under local anesthetic. Excess skin and underlying tissue from the upper lid will be removed. Small vessels will be diathermied or lazered to minimize bleeding. The two edges will be sutured together to close the wound. Part of the incision will be a continuous stitch which will be anchored with flesh coloured tape above the eye with tiny interrupted sutures at the outer edge.
Are you a candidate?
If you have excess skin and a tired heavy appearance to the eye area, you may benefit from blepharoplasty. This is not to be confused with a client that may benefit from a surgical brow lift. Your doctor on examination will advise you if you are a suitable candidate.
What is the down time?
Immediately after the procedure you may experience pain and expect swelling that usually resolves over the following weeks. Bruising, swelling and tenderness can also be expected. Sutures will be removed on the 5th day post procedure.
